PI firms may have a new intake problem.
And it’s not coming from insurance companies.
It’s coming from ChatGPT.
More clients are showing up after spending hours asking AI questions about their case.
Some now believe:
they know what their case is worth
they understand liability
they know how long the case should take
or they’ve already figured out “the strategy”
That’s creating a weird new challenge for PI firms.
Attorneys are spending more time correcting bad information before they can even move the case forward.
And sometimes, AI gives clients unrealistic settlement expectations that are impossible to meet.
It’s strange that clients are becoming more informed…
While also becoming more confused.
That means communication is becoming even more important.
The firms that win this next phase won’t just use AI better.
They’ll explain things better.
Because trust still matters more than automation.
Until next time,
